EC Reading Notes: Creation of Ancient Egypt

In the beginning there was nothing but water and it was called Nu. He was the father of all and gave birth to the sun. It started as a big shinning egg arose from Nu and from it came Ra. From Ra the wind god came and the lioness headed rain god. Then came Seb, the earth god, and soon to follow Osiris and his consort Isis. Ra lifted the earth out of the great waters at his will and brought all of the Gods together to create the word and life. He created mankind from is own eye and lived among them for centuries.

  1. Hi Alex! I need to check: you read all the stories in Part A here, right? I was not sure, but it looks like you took notes just on the first page of the Ra story (which actually continues for several more pages)... and then all the drama of Osiris and Isis, etc. If you are going to do the extra credit reading, it takes about an hour, just like the regular reading assignments do. So, if you did not read the rest of the stories, please make sure you do that, okay?
