In my life I have
learned that the biggest critic that I have, quietly judging and criticizing my
every move, Is myself. Unfortunately, I am a bit of a perfectionist and can be
really hard on myself, wanting to make sure I do everything right. I’m really pretty
good and receiving feedback and often look forward to it to improve myself. So
for this assignment I started with “Silence the Critical Voices in Your
Head” (https://hbr.org/2016/12/silence-the-critical-voices-in-your-head)
I really enjoyed
this article and thought it was helpful in seeing the positives. It really
focuses on fine-tuning your strengths being just as important, if not more,
than strengthening your weaknesses. The other article I read was “14
Signs Your Perfectionism Has Gotten Out Of Control” (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/06/why-perfectionism-is-ruin_n_4212069.html)
This
article really helped me realize some things about myself. First, that my
perfectionism really isn’t as bad as I thought it lol. Second, that it helped
me look at some of the lesser problems that I do have and try to work on them
as best I can.

Like you, I am also my own worst critic. I tend to aim for perfection as well, but I think that can be a good thing sometimes. I feel as though people like us are always working to improve...even though it takes us twice as long sometimes -- haha!
