The wolf is considered the most dangerous, even over the lion. Shares the lion’s tyrannical nature and is always unjust; foolish to think otherwise.
The wolf can denounce hypocrisy but also can be a hypocrite
Wolf and the lamb- wolf is drinking from a stream and sees a sheep, plans to eat him but needs an excuse. Wolf blames sheep for muddying the water he drinks, even though sheep is drinking down stream. Wolf accuses the 6-month-old sheep of calling him bad names this time last year so he eats him. The sheep says, "Any excuse will serve a tyrant."
Wolf and the Crane-Wolf was eating an animal when he choked on a bone. Only crane would help him get the bone out, reaching his head in the wolfs mouth and grabbing the bone. Once removed Crane asked for his reward, wolf told him, his reward was not getting eaten.
The wolf and the kid- a kid berates a wolf from on top a house, the wolf tells him its easy to be brave from a safe distance
The wolf and the dog- a wolf is starving when he meets his cousin the dog. The dog compares his steady work and food lifestyle to wolfs irregular one. The dog offers to help the wolf and find him a place to live and stay in the town. The wolf notices the dog’s collar where he is chained up at night. The wolf states, “Better starve free than be a fat slave.”
Wolf in sheep’s clothes- Appearances are deceptive

The wolf and the nurse- a nurse threatens a child, saying if the baby cries again she will throw him to the wolves. The wolf waits outside the window waiting for the baby to cry again. The child cries again but the nurse simply closes the window. "Ah," said the Wolf as he galloped away: "enemies promises were made to be broken."
