Famous Last Words: Booger Pickens Stadium

This was one crazy week. I love halloween because it is some great people watching. I definitely saw some interesting costumes including a pennywise, strawberry, starlord, and some stranger things fans. I was also insanely busy at work preparing for this weeks football game, Bedlam. This rivalry always has me nervous, but this game really had me on the edge. It was truly an offensive game. Battle of the quarterbacks. My father is an Oklahoma State Alumni, so prior to the game he was asking my opinion on how the game would turn out. I replied honestly, I really wasn't sure. Both teams have performed well this year and rivalries always bring out the best of both teams. (Although, I do have to mention the hair. Gundy. Stop it.) Of course, he decided to throw in a little trash talk, but that is what happens with a house divided. I think that makes this game more interesting though. Brothers will fight against brothers. We even had players on each team that are cousins! I am really happy that the game turned in our favor though. I don't know if I could handle the gloating from my father and any other cowboys fans. Not to mention it is a lot more fun to have to ride the bus home after a victory, losses just make the trip seem longer.

I also wanted to mention I got to see the new Marvel movie: Thor Ragnarok. It was awesome! I was not expecting it to be so funny. If you did not know, I am a comic book nerd. I read them with any free time I have. I like that with the Thor comics/movies I am learning more about Norse mythology and folklore. I think it ties in nice with the class. I wish that there was a Norse section on the Untextbook in this class (if there is one I didn't see it) because I would love to learn more. Maybe it would give me a better understanding of the comics/movies as well as an appreciation for the stories that they came from.
