Wikipedia Trail: From Haiku to Haeckel

Haiku

A haiku is a very short form of Japanese poetry. It is common to describe two images juxtaposed together.

Nouvelle Revue Française is a magazine based in France. The magazine started in 1909 and used to be a monthly publication. It is now a quarterly magazine.

World War I

World War I, or the Great War, started on July 28, 1914 and lasted until November 11, 1918. Over 9 million soldiers and 7 million civilians died during this war.

Ernst Haeckel

Ernst Haeckel was a German biologist that named thousands of species. He was the first person to use the term "First world war" to describe The Great War (World War I).

  1. Hi there! Well I have never commented on a Wikipedia trail before, and I will say that this is kinda cool! Not going to lie it is a little confusing just coming in and trying to pick your brain, and how you jumped from Japanese Haiku's to a magazine based out of France? But wikipedia is really good at that stuff haha.
